Video Simplex offers a complete line of components needed to set up reliable video system arcades that bring diversity to your establishment and can result to significant increase of revenue. Whether you decide to have a pre-designed or custom system installed, we can take care of all of your needs and make sure that the system runs smoothly and generates maximum profits.

Video Systems

Our systems are engineered to be easy to use after minimal user training. A typical system consists of a system controller, a Video Cassette Player (VCP) rack and/or DVD rack, and the monitors in the booths.

The System Control box is the brain of the entire computer-less arcade system, routing all video traffic from the Video Cassette Players to the monitors in the boothsand keeping track of transactions. Its human interface is based on a simple keypad and an LED display, making the unit easy to use with very little training. It comes with standard 63 channels but it is expandable up to 255 channels, just by adding additional MUX boards, which easily slide in place.

The Video Cassette Players and DVDs we have selected and recommend for your system have excellent reliability/cost ratios, therefore increasing the value of your investment and decreasing equipment downtime. Our custom modified players rewind at the end-of-video signal (instead of tape, thus reducing blank time) and automatically resume in auto-repeat mode after a power outage. The Sony(r) TV monitors we provide are destined to reliably offer your customers many hours of pleasurable viewing.

Single Monitor

Single monitor per booth with four-channel storage making a good "starter" configuration because of its upgradability. Each booth has one 20" TV set with channel up and down buttons and four easily operated movie storage buttons, allowing customers to retain favorite channels.

Dual Monitor with SWAP function

Each booth has two TV sets: a 20" primary TV set with audio and a 13" or 20" secondary TV set that displays a movie without audio. Each TV has its own channel up and down buttons as well as a "SWAP" button that exchanges the movies being watched on the two TV sets. Customers may use the secondary TV to scan multiple channels for backup entertainment. If the movie action lapses on the primary, customers can instantly SWAP to the secondary, never losing track of their favorite movie while viewing another.

Quad System

Two TV sets are used in the Quad System: a primary TV set with volume for viewing a movie and a secondary TV set that displays four different movies at the same time. The secondary TV continually scans through all of the movies playing in the system. When customers see one they want to watch, they simply press the button related to that quadrant of the TV and the movie is automatically shown on their primary TV. Customers can find the most exciting movie quicker by watching the secondary TV, and selecting it when it is displayed, thus receiving maximum enjoyment for their money.
